Cotswold Care Hospice
Cotswold Care Hospice is a charity providing palliative day care. The new 1,200 sqm hospice replaces an inappropriate existing building with a state-of-the-art facility.
Sustainability is a major part of the design with rainwater harvesting, solar hot water, natural ventilation supported by solar-powered mechanical systems and the use of recycled materials wherever possible.
The building was officially opened by HRH The Prince of Wales on 22nd December 2008. Prince Charles met architect Charles Cox and was keen to find out about the project. Approximate contract value £2.8m.
